Q: What is the grooming environment like at 4 Paws Pet Spa?
A: As a home-based groomer, in addition to having an extremely sanitary environment, providing a low-stress environment is especially important to me. I have learned that being calm, patient, and kind will not only make the dogs less anxious, but actually happier when getting groomed.
Q: What experience do you have as a pet groomer?
A: As a pet groomer, I have groomed various breeds and sizes of dogs in rescues, as well as, salons. I have 13+ years of experience.
Q: How can I schedule my appointment in advance?
A: For your convenience, you can schedule an appointment by texting or calling (480) 331-1533, or online. If you are a new client or a returning client with a new pet, please fill out the form on this page; established clients, can make a spa reservation here.
Q: What do I need to bring for my first appointment?
A: Please bring your dog's vaccination records to your first appointment. With no exceptions, I require all dogs to have current vaccinations.
Q: What are your prices?
A: Grooming prices are determined by size, condition and temperament of dog. I'd be happy to provide you with an estimate; please contact me to get a quote.
Q: Do you provide flea and tick treatment?
A: Upon request I can provide flea and tick prevention only. If your dog has an active infestation of fleas or ticks, I encourage you to consult your veterinarian for treatment options. As I do not provide services to dogs with active infestations of fleas or ticks, please contact me when your dog is flea and tick free.
Q: What type of products do you use?
A: I use various premium quality products such as Natures Specialties, Biogroom, Tropiclean, Earthbath, and others. These shampoos and conditioners are not only safe for pets, but also clean them exceptionally well.
Q: How long does a typical grooming take?
A: For the average dog, grooming typically takes roughly 1.5- 2 hours for a groom. Of course, grooming time may be more or less depending on the dog's breed, size, coat, health, attitude, and previous grooming condition.
Q: Will my dog be around other pets?
A: No, I provide one-on-one attention during the grooming session.
Q: Will my do be kenneled during the appointment?
A: Your dog will kenneled while waiting for you to arrive for pickup.
Q: How will I be notified that my dog is finished?
A: Typically I will send a text message to the customers when their dogs are ready. If you have a different preference, please let me know at the time you drop your dog off.
Q: How often should I bring my dog for a haircut?
A: If you have a breed of dog that has hair similar to a maltese, shihtzu, poodle, doodle, yorkie, they need to be groomed every 4- 6 weeks.
